Given the limited number of experienced players in his stock, PNG Hunters head coach Stanley Tepend has no doubt of the team.
Even a new kid on the block is put to test but coming on with strong work ethics with core emphasis on communication and team work, surely results will come its way.
After asked by media, whether the team will still survive with more rookies than experienced hands as handful of key players left the camp, Tepend admitted he is a strong believer of team work than relying on few to get results.
The Hunters camp was devastated by the news of departing stalwart Wartovo Puara Jr, Joe Frank and Francis Kembis to newly admitted Digicel Cup team, Sepik Pride earlier this month to team up with PNG Kumuls halves utility Watson Boas.
However, Tepend has confidence in his squad to deliver results.
“The team has got enough experience guys there to cover up,” Tepend said.
“Even though we lost some notable players, we have been training hard for the last few months.
We have lost all experience guys but, on the field, experience counts a little bit but it’s a team game.
“Everybody has to do their part the best they can as we are here to step up.
“What we want to encourage is team work effort, we don’t rely in one or two experiences.”
Senior player Ila Alu also urged the new comers to stamp their spots in the team.
“It’s all about giving opportunity to everyone.
“Regardless of experience, this is an opportunity to prove the coaching staff and everyone.
“Step-up once the opportunity is given,” Alu said.
Brendon Nima, Benji Kot, Ila Alu, Junior Rop, Matthew Jesse, Solo Wane, Wesser Tenza, Sherwin Tanabi, Rodrick Tai, Liam Joseph, Judah Rimbu Jamie Mavoko and Henry Wan are the notable players to take lead for Hunters in terms of the experience under their belt.
The new faces that are eager to cement their spot incudes Saki Peter, Junior Igila, Morea Morea Jr, Koso Bandi, Joshua Mire and David Joseph.
